Mina (Enameling) 

    Enameling (Mina) is a brilliant art of fire and soil with baked and bright colors that dates to the years before Christ and its appearance on metal is seen during the fourth to sixth centuries BC and after 500 AD. It has been manifested in Persia more than other places and referred to Safavid dynasty.

    Enamel (Mina) is a piece of metal, such as copper in the form of a glazed dish with ancient painting. Isfahan’s artists draw pieces in the form of curvature, knots and flowers on it and then baked.

Khatam

Khatam is a cover that is obtained by placing a thin layer about one and a half millimeters thick; it includes equilateral pieces of colored wood with triangular pieces of brass metal and bone. Khatam making is one of the top arts in Isfahan and Its creator is not known, but its origin and method of work is very similar to a mosaic art that has a long history not only in Persia but all over the world.

Ghalamkar (Calligraphy)

Ghalamkar (Calligraphy) is one of the most ancient handicrafts for centuries; it has been practiced in Persia since the Mongolian period and expanded further during the Safavid dynasty. 

Today, Calligraphy is one of the most important handicrafts of Isfahan, which is the art of printing or embroidering on cotton or silk fabrics with natural colors. Various designs and drawings are used for calligraphy, such as: Historical landscapes, domestic and wild animals, miniatures, hunting grounds, flowers, plants and Islamic arts.

Rug Purse & backpack

    These original bags, such as backpack, and purse are woven entirely by Persian women. The most famous and original design of Persian rug is used in the front of the bags. The back of the bags is made by Persian kilim and wool yarns with natural dyeing are used for the strap of the bags. These handbags can be easily opened and closed by a zipper sewn on the top of the bag and inside is embroidered with cotton fabric.

Ghalam Zani (Engraving)

  Ghalam Zani (Engraving) is the process of decorating and carving patterns on metal objects, especially copper, gold, silver, and brass. it is creating lines and patterns by of a special pen with a hammer blow on metal objects.  This art has a long history and reflects the culture and civilization of the Persian people.
